| Project summary Overview information note The "formula" of the project: "Production of ceramic heat-resistant uncooled gas-turbine engines with a deprived of shovels turbine, a wide-ranging, manufactured using selective laser fusion, an additive technology from ceramic powders."
Gaz-turbine engines (GTE), a heat engine in which the gas is compressed and heated, and then the energy of the compressed and heated gas is converted into mechanical work on the shaft of the gas turbine. The working process of the gas turbine engine can be carried out with continuous combustion of fuel at constant pressure or with intermittent combustion of fuel at a constant volume.
The greatest industrial application was obtained by GTE with continuous combustion of fuel at constant pressure. In this gas turbine, the compressed atmospheric air from the compressor enters the combustion chamber, fuel is also supplied to it, which, when burned, heats the air; then in the gas turbine the energy of the combustion gases is converted into mechanical work, most of which is expended on compressing air in the compressor. The rest of the work is transferred to the driven unit. The work consumed by this unit is a useful work of the GTE.
GTEs can operate on gaseous fuels (natural gas, associated and collateral flammable gases, gas-generating gases, gases from blast-furnace and soot furnaces and underground gasification); on liquid fuel (kerosene, gas oil, diesel fuel, fuel oil); solid fuel (coal and peat dust). Heavy liquid and solid fuels are used in GTE, working on a semi-closed and closed cycle. In the GTE closed cycle, the working body after the work is done in the turbine is not thrown out, but participates in the next cycle.
Such GTE allow increasing the unit capacity and using nuclear fuel in them. GTEs have found wide application in aviation as the main engines of powerplants for aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles and etc.
GTE is used in thermal power plants to drive electric generators; on mobile power stations, for example in power trains; for the drive of compressors (air and gas) with simultaneous generation of electric and thermal energy in the oil, gas, metallurgical and chemical industries; as traction engines of gas turbine locomotives , buses, cars and trucks, caterpillar tractors, tanks; as power units of ships, boats, submarines and for driving auxiliary machinery and mechanisms (winch, pumps, etc.); on the objects of military equipment as power and traction power plants.
The scope of GTE is constantly expanding.
The development of the GTE is on the way to improving its elements (compressor, turbine, combustion chamber, heat exchangers, etc.), increasing the temperature and pressure of the gas in front of the turbine, as well as using combined power plants with steam turbines and free-piston gas generators.

| Within the framework of this project: • production of (in small lots) ceramic GTE with electric power up to 5 kW, production of ceramic powders for ceramic composites and production of ceramic composites with printer equipment, on which all GTE units with sizes no more than 100 × 100 mm are produced; • it is possible to manufacture separate GTE units for other areas of use: a) small combustion chambers with a shortened hot path and low toxicity of exhaust gases to replace existing fuel burners, for example in heating boilers, b) high-efficiency matrix heat exchangers for operation at temperatures up to 1000 0 C in oxidizing atmosphere.
